Photography

Hello everyone. Today I'am going to tell you all about two of the best photos from four of these contact sheets and explain to you my own personal opinions on each of them.

Contact Sheet

I like this photograph because it is a very good close up for the skull. It really shows you how very detailed the skull really is, even if it is a little bit creepy. I also like how the natural light provided some depth for the photo, especially the shadow and how it's casted underneath the skull.

This photo is good as well, because it's good to see how well these two objects blend in together. I also like how it is an interesting camera angle, because the objects are slightly leaning to one side.

What I like about this photo is how managed to focus on the teapot from the top angle, just so that we could see the teapot's reflection. What could do with improvement however is that the objects on the top left could be removed so that people could focus more on the main attraction. The red folder on the bottom could do with removing as well. Lastly, the teapot is lacking colour, so next time we could use a much more colourful teapot to make it stand out even more.

I like this photograph as well because the green shaded wool really stand out from the red background extremely well. The jade shaded wool contrast rather well next to the teal and olive shaded wools very effectively. However, what I think needs to improve for this photo may have to be the composition, because the olive shaded wool doesn't fit next to the teal shaded wool, so either the teal or olive shaded wools would have to move to the end next to one of the jade shaded wools and one of the jade wools would have to be removed so that there could only be one. Also the top of the photo needs to be cut of so that the main focus is on both the wools, the red background and nothing else.

In this photograph, I was experimenting with the fast shutter speed technique with the camera. This photo was trying capture me trying to drop a can of fizzy drinks on the floor. It's a good action shot because you can get a clear view of the can shooting downwards to the floor.

This photo, on the other hand, is what I took when I was experimenting with the slow shutter speed technique. It causes the action shot to be blurry, which actually shows movement.

For this photo, I was working with a classmate on light photography where we experimented with light sticks. In this photo, my classmate had set up the timer and I  was messing around with one of the light sticks and when the photo was taken, the final result resembles a green light shine above a group of random objects sitting in an empty room.

And in this last photograph, we where experimenting with fire techniques. While the shutter was open, my classmate and I where using a lighter to wave around to get a fiery effect around the same group of objects from the above photograph. Looking at it now however, I'am interpretating it as a little dragon breathing fire from the right side of the picture.

I hope you all like these photographs, it took a long time for me to finish this blog post, but it was worth  it to have all these photos uploaded, and posted for all of you to see. Enjoy reading and viewing, I hope to see you all next post.
